"A cabin at it's finest. The chestnut wood, amazing tub, and outstanding beds and dressers. My life is tedious at times, but this makes up for it. Nothing could have been improved upon!" – |
A 120-YEAR-OLD LOG CABIN MADE NEW AGAIN The Cullisia cabin was originally constructed in the Laurel community near Marshall, North Carolina around 1892. The LL Merchants Company out of Asheville and the Presbyterians hired Jim Leake and Lump Norton to build the cabin for use as a mission and a doctor's office. All the logs were hand-hewn.
The kitchen is equipped with stove, toaster oven, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. You’ll find all the utensils you need for cooking and dining. The cabin also has heat and air-conditioning; ceiling fans; washer and dryer; comfortable furniture; dining table for four; two cable TVs; and a floor to ceiling, stacked stone gas fireplace. Guests love to gather on the wide front porch with rockers and a swing enjoy the sounds of the creek below. Maximum occupancy: four. No pets. No smoking. 2-night minimum. Rates: $150 per night or $1,000 per week plus tax |
